Calling rules & your responsibilities
What you must do to stay legal and what Sancharya does automatically.

TRAI calling hours
Indian telecom regulations (TRAI TCCCPR) restrict promotional calls to 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM IST. Sancharya enforces this automatically — Bulk campaigns will not dial outside this window, and Instant calls arriving outside the window are queued for the next permitted slot.
Do-Not-Call (DNC) registry
Before any outbound call, Sancharya checks the number against the NDNC registry. Numbers registered on the Do-Not-Call list are automatically suppressed and will not be dialed.
You are responsible for ensuring all contacts in your lists have given valid opt-in consent for receiving calls. Importing a purchased list of random numbers is a violation of both our Acceptable Use Policy and Indian telecom law.
DNC violations carry serious penalties under Indian law. Sancharya's automatic suppression is a safety net, not a substitute for your own consent practices.
DLT registration
Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) registration is required for commercial calling in India. Sancharya injects DLT headers automatically on all carrier routes. Your business must be registered with your telecom operator's DLT platform — this is a one-time setup.
Call recording & consent
All calls are recorded by default for quality and training purposes. The employee's opening script should include a recording disclosure — Sancharya's default templates include this, but if you customise the opening, make sure the disclosure is still there.
You are responsible for complying with two-party consent requirements where applicable.
